Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We covered the relationship between electronic configuration and chemical properties. This included ionization energies, electronegativities, metallic and nonmetallic properties, and propensities to form acids and bases. These properties were studied for both atoms and ions. We also looked at atomic and ionic radii for elements."
"I had sent some additional questions for the student to solve. We went over solutions for 3 of the 11 questions I had sent. We also went over how to approach a few other problems from chapter 5, touching upon some of the key concepts. He is getting more comfortable with this chapter and wants to work on more problems."
"The student finished the first section of Acid / Base chemistry. He has a quiz for it tomorrow so we used a problem set of his to review all of the material, including Lewis Acid chemistry. The session was productive and I am confident that he is well prepared for his quiz."
"In this session, we reviewed material that will be covered on the student's upcoming test by going through some of the review problems given to her by her teacher. This included forces, especially the forces of friction and tension. She has made a lot of progress in her understanding of adding forces and splitting forces into their component parts. She struggled a bit with calculating the normal force in some situations."
"Today, we discussed the anatomy of the heart. We covered topics on the basic anatomy and structure, the cardiac cycle, pathway of blood, different circulatory systems, ECG tracings, etc. The student did well and asked good questions. We focused on the study guide questions, and I explained the content that she would be expected to know."
"We reviewed skull anatomy with the model that the student purchased. We also went over joint anatomy and anatomy of the facial muscles in conjunction with muscle physiology. The student received the material very well, and feels that she will solidify the information more with repeated review."
