Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The session went very well. We first started with general questions about differentials, then we went over his practice exam test on different subjects."
"We practiced finding the volumes of rotated solids with both the washer method and the shells method, and we discussed when to use each one."
"The student sent me pictures of four homework pages and we worked through them. Two of them covered derivatives and the other two were on integrals. The homework problems covered multiple types of questions that asked for the same things and there were also associated word problems."
"During this session the student and I covered the usual decimals material and went over some algebra as well."
"The student had a good session today. We started by talking about what they have been working on in class. We discussed geometry nets, which they had not covered last year in school and which had appeared on her test she took this past week. We then continued talking about graphs and slope. We continued going over how to find the slope of a line based on two points from the graph. We then covered how to draw a line based on a point and a given slope. She did very well with this, and I think she will be very well prepared for school. We also talked about number lines. This will be the next topic in her class. We reviewed how to use number lines when adding and subtracting with negative numbers. She needed a little refresher, but she understood by the end. She will be well prepared for the number line topic up next!"
"Today the student did a review of her addition and subtraction flashcards (1-10). She also completed a subtraction page and an addition page, adding with 3-digit numbers. Following this, she worked on number patterns and a few story problems. To finish off, we did an addition dice game."
