"We cost accounting and decision making for multi-unit stores. The student is a good student, she just needed a little guidance about some of the processes. She is doing fine."
"Using the student's practice test, we covered several forms of depreciation, goodwill, how to arrive at the cost of an asset, the book value of an asset, how to calculate interest expense on a note payable, how to calculate shareholders' equity on the balance sheet, how to calculate price per share of stock sold, FOB shipping point and FOB destination, and how to tell which types of accounts are over or understated when accounting errors are made. The student worked very hard and had a great attitude. He is going to work on the practice test until we meet again."
"I helped the student solve several problems in her chapter about cash flow statements. I explained how the statement reconciles net income to increase or decrease in cash for the period. She gained a better understanding of how the statement is prepared. We mostly concentrated on the indirect method but we solved a couple of problems that required us to use the direct method."
