"We went over his homework together. He had three pages of multiplication problems. He did well. He memorized most of his numbers. His writing assignment consisted of writing new vocabularies five times. He told me his teacher split the words into two separate assignments, so he only completed the assignment for half the words. The student completed the rest of his homework."
"We reviewed her last reading test and she has improved. Then we did her math which was about adding mixed numbers. I explained it to her several times and then timed her as she did it alone. She does need a bit more practice though."
"I covered 3-day assignment with the student. She received the homework package for three days which I explained more and completed with her. The assignments included: solving problems with angles, finding the missing angle measure, and completing equations with inverse operations. We also read "The Fighting Ground," and answered the related questions. Lastly, I reviewed for the science test on Monday covering the solar system. I quizzed her on the phases of the moon."
"Today the student and I worked on math in order to prepare for the SAT she is taking this weekend. After working through some of the problems that she got wrong, it became clear that she actually understood them, she just had not read the problem as carefully as she should have. She and I talked about the importance of reading through each question carefully. I advised her that the best way to become comfortable with the problems and their wording is to practice as much as possible. I told her to do as many practice sections as she has time for."
"Projectile motion: Concepts and applications was discussed. We then went over the student's first work sheet and part of the 2nd. All were applications of projectile motion at varying levels of complication."
"The students and I covered understanding and writing sentences in Spanish using the present progressive, present perfect and present perfect subjunctive. Then the first student worked on her two minute speaking prompt for an upcoming test, about her opinion on a video that they had recently watched in class."
