"Biology: Amphibians and Fish.
Algebra: Factoring and polynomial functions.
The student has two tests on Monday, Biology and Math. She should be ready for both! We did half of her biology review and finished all of her math reviews. She has a plan for the weekend, and seemed very enthusiastic about sticking to it. I'll see her next Thursday!"

The student has two tests on Monday, Biology and Math. She should be ready for both! We did half of her biology review and finished all of her math reviews. She has a plan for the weekend, and seemed very enthusiastic about sticking to it. I'll see her next Thursday!"
"The student and I worked through about half of another biology practice test section together. This was our last session before her exam on Saturday, so at the end of our session, we talked a bit about preparing for the day itself and the exam conditions. I think that she's made a lot of progress and definitely seems to be ready for Saturday!"
"Reviewed results of practice PSAT completed by client. Focused work on math section, specifically geometry. Guided client through methods of breaking down challenging questions into more easily solvable components. Discussed time management skills, as client raised concerns about completing sections in the allotted time. Also discussed anxietyreducing strategies to ameliorate stress and pressures expressed by client."
"ISEE: Review practice test for verbal, reading comprehension, and quantitative reasoning. Student 1 is quicker in math, but sometimes make mistakes because he's trying to compute in his head and not writing things down. Student 2's reading comprehension is better."
"We went over a previously taken test regarding limits and simplifying expressions. We also looked at a quiz regarding log functions. Review material was provided for an upcoming test, and review will continue on Monday."
"The student and I continued with antiderivatives that I had introduced last time. I showed him real world applications of anti derivs such as distance traveled and area under a curve. Touched on solids of revolution."
"The student and I worked on his response questions to chapter 14 of his Western Civ textbook concerning the age of exploration. He responded well to my questions regarding his answers, and I also modeled research approaches for him."
"The student and I reviewed the diagnostic test she completed from the her study guide book. We focused in on key areas where she might need support, especially reading comprehension and math. During our next session, we will revisit some of the problems she struggled with on the first exam, and go over her second diagnostic test. It was a great start to our time working together!"
"The student had been having some trouble with math in the last couple days before his break, so we focused on reviewing everything he learned this week before his end of the week test the next day. We worked on ratios, rates and proportions, as well as some algebra and solving word problems with proportions. I also introduced him to the concept of similar triangles which he was going to learn in the class the next day. The student also mentioned to me that he was having some trouble understanding the concept of squares and square roots, so we went over both of them and worked on some problems to make sure he understood how these concepts work. I then looked over what is going to be on his math midterm, which we will be working towards over the next two weeks."
"We went over some practice problems from a test that the student had solved prior to meeting. Some of the topics covered were; functions, basic algebra operations, and geometry."
"Science Atoms, calculate charge, periodic table, protons and neutrons, plant cell. Math Later area of square pyramid, geometry, percentages. We went over some of the problems from the prep tests for Math and Science."
"She and I began preparing for her first test which covers chapters 14, one/two dimensional motion, projectile motion, vector notation/addition, and two dimensional motion problems involving velocity/acceleration/displacement."
