Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went over chapter 27: aggregate supply, relationships between interest rates and output, price level and output and price level and unemployment. We also reviewed her homework."
"We covered a number of concepts that the student had to prepare for in an upcoming exam. We adjusted our focus based on solving quantitative (math) problems."
"We talked through progress with the student's analysis on how to sort through the data and what he needs cleaned up. We went through data and then talked through his analysis and how that fit into the sections of his paper. He is ready to begin writing. I feel like he understands what he will be writing about."
"The student and I went over kinematics and dynamics. She was strong on algebra and solving for missing variables. She should go over setting up kinematic equations and setting up free body diagrams (F=ma). We'll continue to work on that in our next session."
"Tonight, the student and I continued to work through the study guide for his final French exam. The subjects we covered included culture, pronoun order, the imperfect, and the present participle. We specifically covered determining pronoun order when multiple pronouns are used in indicative statements and commands. Also, identifying the irregular stems for present participles vs. the imparfait. We also reviewed what we had studied yesterday, and he had retained this material very well."
"In helping the student prepare for the subject test, we went through some of the problems she had missed on a practice exam. For each of these, I would make a mini lesson, and then see if she could solve the problem then. I also sent her an equation sheet to review just before the exam."
