Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I went over a small amount of classwork while I explained Gaussian surfaces and potential difference in circuits. I gave him mostly a prequel of how sessions will be worked out, dealing with classwork, exam work, and general teaching. After doing some problems, I worked on getting the student ready for his next class by talking and teaching circuits."
"The student had a review for statics because they are doing only review between now and spring break in class. So we covered torque and equilibrium of rigid bodies. We went through many example problems and she seems very confident in how to solve them. She is doing well with this topic."
"We went through the gamut of the second analysis, performing the t-tests and ANOVA and the appropriate analysis. Everything looks good to go, and we will begin to prepare for the upcoming midterm in our next session."
"She has an exam tomorrow on respiratory and excretory systems, and we covered the functions and physiologies of kidneys and lungs. We also talked about the liver and its functions. As reference, we used a packet given to her by her teacher. I think she has a hold on the concepts we covered today and just needs a good review before her exam tomorrow."
"The student and I reviewed algebra I and biology. We completed several practice problems to prepare for his biology exam. I sent him more practice problems for both subjects. The student maintained a positive attitude throughout the session."
"The student and I reviewed topics in biology and biomedical sciences for her upcoming exams. Specifically, we reviewed the technique of gel electrophoresis and its application in crime scene investigations. For biology, we reviewed basic environmental science, including population studies and effects of pollution. We performed a small simulation experiment to emphasize the effects of bioaccumulation in organisms."
