Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"For Student 1: Today the student and I worked on identifying his hypothesis for the upcoming science fair his teacher is having the class participate in. He had a good idea of what he was predicting to happen in his project already, so what we really did was fine tune the writing and phrasing to make sure it said exactly what he wanted it to say. By the end of the session he had a very solid grasp on how to write concisely from the get-go. Student 2: He was extended an invitation to join the National Junior High Honors Society, and so his father asked me to help him write the 200 word essay he had to submit with it over what he thought integrity and leadership were. While I worked with Student 1, he had already started, so we worked on refining what he had written. By the end of the session he had an extremely good start on his essay, and told me that he would email me the changes he made before our next tutoring session, so we could go over them then. Additionally, he told me that Algebra I is going very well. His class just started learning about how to find slope by looking at a graph, as well as the slope formula, which he and I have already talked about. He was very excited because he already knew how to do the work beforehand."
"The student and I worked on the clinical competency section of her doctoral thesis proposal by revising the clinical case presentation that she created."
"I provided training and assistance with grammar, sentence structure and paragraph construction. Also, I provided education on crafting an abstract. I assisted with general editing and provided feedback on tone, narrative prose and paragraph structure."
