I am Allison Lagman, a passionate educator with a Master's degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I have a middle school endorsement in Language Arts. I currently teach 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts (ELA), focusing on grammar, mechanics, usage, vocabulary, language arts, and literature. I believe that strong reading and writing skills are foundational for academic success and lifelong learning. My approach is student-centered; I enjoy building meaningful relationships and tailoring lessons to meet individual needs through the use of interactive technology and scaffolding techniques.
