Hello! I'm currently pursuing a Master of Science in Physics at Brown University, building on my Bachelor's degree in Physics from Vanderbilt University, and for the past three years I've worked one-on-one with high school students to help them master challenging concepts and excel on standardized tests. Watching students light up when they finally get a tricky problem is what drives my passion for tutoring. I love helping young learners develop confidence as much as understanding.
My own academic journey has taught me that strong foundations in math and science unlock doors in nearly every field. I've honed those foundations myself and I bring the same proven strategies and disciplined study habits to every session. I tutor a range of subjects (math through calculus, physics, and test prep for the PSAT/SAT), but I'm especially fond of algebra and physics because they teach logical problem-solving and quantitative reasoning skills that students carry with them for life.
My teaching philosophy centers on meeting each student where they are. I start by diagnosing gaps in understanding, then tailor explanations and practice problems to build deep conceptual insight. I encourage questions, I break complex ideas into manageable steps, and I consistently reinforce progress with positive feedback and clear, achievable goals.
