I am an ESL teacher. I am certified in ESL and ELA with STR. I have a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston-Downtown, I have over 7 years of experience in both tutoring and classroom instruction. My passion for teaching stems from the joy of connecting with students from diverse backgrounds and helping them navigate the challenges of language acquisition. I believe in creating a supportive and safe learning environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves and take risks. My teaching approach emphasizes patience, clear communication, and adaptability to meet each student's unique needs. I have successfully guided my students to achieve significant growth in their English proficiency, as evidenced by their improved test scores. Outside of teaching, I enjoy exploring different cultures and cuisines, which enhances my understanding of my students' backgrounds and enriches our learning experiences.
