As a recent graduate of the Communication Arts program at Wilmington College, I'm incredibly passionate in all aspects of communication - be it digital journalism, public speaking, or more traditional forms of writing. I spent my time at WC competing on the National level in both track and cross country while working at our institution's Writing Center, tutoring students across all classes. I feel that my student-athlete experience helps me relate to busy students coming it at various skill levels. Similar to athletics, I find the journey in improving one's writing incredibly rewarding. During my college career, I took a variety of journalism specific, writing intensive classes, equipping me with solid writing mechanics and grammatical skills. At the Writing Center, I also had the opportunity to learn, reading essays dedicated to multiple classes (even sciences), working with their authors to refine formatting, grammar, structure, and more. This only made the subject more enjoyable.
