As a current student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst pursuing a Public Health degree, I'm passionate about helping students because I believe education can empower and uplift, especially when students feel truly seen and supported. As an afterschool counselor, I tutored 3rd to 5th graders primarily in math and learned how important it is to tailor support to each student's needs. Whether working one-on-one or in small groups, I focused on identifying specific struggles and using tools like visuals, step-by-step breakdowns, and games to keep learning engaging and effective. My tutoring philosophy centers on breaking lessons into digestible chunks, checking for understanding, and encouraging students to explain concepts in their own words to deepen their comprehension. I enjoy tutoring a wide range of subjects including English, History, Biology, and Algebra.I especially love English and History because I'm passionate about writing and helping students express their ideas with confidence.
