A student's confidence is often the quiet engine behind their academic success. I've seen firsthand how doubt can stall even the brightest minds, so my approach as a tutor is rooted in the belief that mistakes are not only inevitable, but essential. It's not about avoiding challenges - it's about embracing them, learning from them, and developing the resilience to move forward.
My experience spans founding and running my own tutoring company, as well as leading a tutoring club in high school that served students across North Carolina's Triangle region. Now, as a student at Brown University, I'm pursuing a degree in Public Health on the pre-med track, with coursework ranging from advanced mathematics to organic chemistry. In addition to my academic pursuits, I serve as a nationally licensed EMT with Brown EMS, responding to emergencies on and around campus.
I tutor a wide range of math topics up to AP Calculus BC, as well as chemistry. My favorite subjects to teach are those that demand conceptual understanding - math and organic chemistry, in particular. I encourage students to move beyond rote memorization and to ask "why" at every turn, believing that true comprehension outlasts any shortcut in the textbook.
Outside the classroom, I'm an avid martial artist and a dedicated hospice volunteer. Much of my free time is spent at Brown EMS or working with community health clinics in North Carolina, where I assist with patient intake and support. Whether in academics or in the community, my goal is to help others build confidence, competence, and curiosity - qualities that serve far beyond the classroom.

Outside of academics, I spend a lot of time practicing martial arts and diving into the world of productivity software—I genuinely enjoy figuring out how to make things work better, especially if it involves a spreadsheet. I also like tinkering with website design. When I’m not geeking out over tech, I try to stay active: working out, playing ultimate frisbee, or getting outside with friends. I love to cook and grill, and I think a good meal with good company is hard to beat.
