I am an undergraduate student at New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study, where I work in mathematics (at the Courant Institute) and music. I received my High School Diploma from Boston University Academy, which is an independent secondary school where students take many courses at Boston University. I tutor math from the middle school level to the college level, including algebra, geometry, and calculus. I believe that mathematics is extremely beautiful, and I want to share my joy in math learning with others. Math is incredible because it is so precise, but also because it describes the world we live in. I recognize that some students learn best through real-life examples, while others might prefer more abstract problem-solving. I want to help students by finding out how they like to learn and translating the content into a language they'll understand best. Many people don't currently enjoy math, seeing it as an obstacle. I want to change that for my students who feel this way; I hope that they come to love math as much as I do. Besides math, I have led my high school's philosophy club, where I frequently taught about the history of philosophy. I also was a chair for and Secretariat of BUAMUN, which is a middle school Model UN conference in Boston.
