Certified Tutor

I am a graduate student at Boston University with a bachelor's in Creative Writing and a minor in Film Studies from the University of Maine at Farmington.

Since graduating with my bachelor's in 2021, I've created a show called Our Short Film Show on MBTV, a local television network, worked on the set of a feature film, and written countless short films and a feature.

At BU, I was a Graduate Assistant for COM101, which focuses on PR, Journalism, and Film & TV. I graded papers and made notes on where sections could be sharpened. Next semester, I'll be a GA for a screenwriting discussion section, where we'll go over scripts in class to talk about what's working and what can be improved.

I'm very passionate about creative writing, as I love diving into characters and understanding their philosophy, their psychological warfare, and the world that, a moment ago, didn't exist but was created by the creativity in our own minds. I love encouraging others to trust themselves and trust the characters they're building.

However, to understand how to write a story, one must also understand how to analyze their own writing and make sure it comes across as coherent. I want my students to come out of our sessions confident, not only in themselves, but also in their ability to write an assignment.
