I am a senior at Boston University, where I am working towards a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with minors in Art History and Entrepreneurship & Innovation. As a Peer Tutor for a college-level writing course, I worked one-on-one with students to refine their work across genres, from journalism to public relations writing. This experience taught me the importance of patience, adaptability, and fostering confidence through personalized guidance. I also mentor a team of 10 writers as Website Director of the BU Fashion & Retail Association, where I balance editorial oversight with creating a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and growth.

I tutor a range of subjects, including Writing, English, Mandarin Chinese, Art History, and World History. My favorite areas are writing and Mandarin subjects, where I've witnessed transformative breakthroughs. Writing allows students to articulate their voices, while Mandarin opens doors to cultural understanding, a skill I have been honored for through an award for academic excellence in the study of the language.

My teaching philosophy centers on empathy and customization. I believe in meeting students where they are, identifying their unique strengths, and creating engaging, low-pressure sessions that prioritize critical thinking over rote memorization. Whether breaking down complex essays or practicing conversational Mandarin, I aim to make learning both meaningful and enjoyable.
Outside academia, I am deeply involved in outreach efforts with elder care, and I enjoy an art project or museum visit in my free time.
