Certified Tutor

I obtained my Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education while graduating from Kent State University. While in college I worked at a child care facility and helped students with their homework before and after school. I have also spent 2 years tutoring English language with Chinese students online. I am a currently a licensed 3rd grade teacher. In my first 4 years of teaching I had the unique opportunity moving up with my kindergarten students and teaching grades K-3rd. I believe this experience gives me the ability to help a wide range of students within these grade levels. I have seen many struggling readers improve and fall in love with reading.
I am most comfortable tutoring reading, writing, and math within these grade levels. I am experienced in teaching the programs Fundations, Wit and Wisdom, and Heggerty for reading and writing. I have the most experience teaching Envisions for math, but I am willing to tutor any math program k-3.
