I am an undergraduate student at the University of Maryland, pursuing a B.S. in Neuroscience with a minor in Human Development. I am also part of a four-year research honors program called Gemstone.
During my senior year of high school, I worked as a Kids Instructor at Life Time Fitness, primarily teaching art to students ages 311. I also led yoga sessions, taught chess, and facilitated gym activities. Through these experiences, I discovered my passion for early education, particularly in teaching foundational subjects like math, English, science, and French.
I believe it is essential not only to build strong academic foundations early on but also to foster an appreciation for the learning process itself. I am a firm believer that a positive mindset and attitude can take education further than hard work alone. Having experienced less-than-ideal tutoring myself, I aspire to make learning an enjoyable and empowering experience for every student.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends, trying new foods, journaling, and engaging in a variety of arts and crafts.
