I believe in compassionate and effective education. As someone with extensive tutoring and classroom teaching experience, I am well versed in working with students both in groups and one-on-one, and I enjoy both. I have a unique set of skills, in that I work with first time, first year college students; bearing witness to this transition from high school to college has offered me great insight into what students need both in high school to succeed in college and in college to build on what they learned in high school.

I am also a business communications expert, and have worked with adults (both in and out of college) to create resumes, work on email communication, and improve interactions in their workplaces.

I love writing. I can write anything and teach anyone how to write anything. I have a BA in English and an MFA in Writing. I am a lifelong student and enthusiastic educator.

I love poetry, reading (especially historical fiction!), gardening, and riding bikes with my kids.
