Certified Tutor

Since I can remember, I have wanted to become a teacher. Tutoring helped me become a teacher. I worked for Sylvan Learning Center for 2 years before graduating college with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and minor in English. I have been teaching for 7 years, including preschool, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th grade English and Language Arts. I believe students learn more if they are interested and engaged, so I strive to make learning experiences, interactive, positive, and routine. My favorite subject to tutor is Reading because being a part of a big accomplishment for them is so meaningful. That student might just need one on one time, a quiet place, a trusted adult or more. Reading is truly everywhere, so helping kids read is super beneficial.
