Certified Tutor
I am deeply passionate about helping students unlock their potential through learning and belive in the power of education to change lives, My enthusiasm for tutoring stems from the joy of watching a student's eyes light up when they grasp a difficult concept for the first time. It's a moment that reminds me that with the right support and guidance, any student can grow into a confident, curious learner. I am excited to be part of each student's journey and to help them grow academically and personally.
I graduated with a degree that uniquely blends two powerful disciplines: Computer Science and Biotechnology. This interdisciplinary background has allowed me to develop a strong foundation in both technology and the life sciences, and I bring this knowledge into my tutoring sessions. While I am most comfortable tutoring beginner-level computer science topics such as programming fundamentals, logic, and problem-solving, I also offer graduate-level insight into biology and biotechnology subjects. This combination allows me to help students connect ideas across disciplines in meaningful ways.
Throughout my academic career, I've had several opportunities to work with studentsfrom mentoring high school learners in STEM clubs to helping peers navigate complex biology coursework in college. These experiences have shown me how impactful one-on-one or small-group learning can be, especially when lessons are tailored to a student's pace and style. My teaching philosophy centers on patience, encouragement, and adaptability. I strive to meet students where they arewhether they need help building confidence, developing study strategies, or mastering content. My tutoring style is interactive and student-led: I ask guiding questions, use analogies to make abstract ideas more concrete, and break down complex topics into manageable steps.
I earned my degree from a respected institution with strong programs in both computer science and biotechnology. I am committed to lifelong learning through online courses, academic journals, and professional development in education.
The subjects I tutor include general biology, molecular biology, biotechnology, and introductory computer scienceincluding Python programming, algorithms, and SQL.
Outside of academia, I enjoy exploring the intersection of science and artwhether it's science communication, or creative coding. I also love reading sci-fi novels, science journals, hiking, and gardening.
