Certified Tutor

As a tutor with a strong background in writing, editing, and literature, I am dedicated to helping learners build confidence and master the skills they need to succeed. I hold a B.S. in Business/Marketing from the University of Phoenix and an M. Adm. in Leadership from Northern Arizona University. My experience includes guiding writers through the editing process, tutoring English and literature, and helping students improve reading comprehension and writing skills. I also specialize in adult literacy, working with learners at all levels to develop essential reading and communication skills.

My passion for teaching stems from the incredible mentors I had throughout my own educationteachers who took the time to encourage and challenge me. Their influence shaped my belief that learning should be engaging, accessible, and tailored to the individual. Because of this, my teaching philosophy is simple: meet students where they are. I create a supportive and engaging learning environment, ensuring that lessons are customized to each learner's needs. Rather than just providing answers, I focus on fostering a deeper understanding of the subject, helping students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills that will benefit them in everyday life.

I tutor in English, reading comprehension, writing, American and British literature, and adult literacy. Whether I'm helping a student refine their writing, navigate complex texts, or strengthen their foundational reading skills, I strive to make learning an empowering experience.

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy long hikes in the desert, capturing its beauty through landscape photography, painting, and teaching myself guitar and violinpursuits that reflect my love of creativity and lifelong learning.
