Certified Tutor

I am passionate about helping students because I believe education unlocks confidence, opportunity, and lasting change. Over the past five years, I have worked directly with learners ranging in age from toddlers to young adults, offering support in both academic and behavioral growth. My experience as a Registered Behavior Technician has taught me the importance of individualized instruction, consistency, and celebrating progressbig and small.

My academic background includes ongoing studies to become a certified teacher, with a focus on Communication Disorders. This path has deepened my understanding of language development, phonetics, and learning strategies that support students with diverse needs.

I tutor a range of subjects, including reading, writing, phonics, early math, and study skills, but I am most passionate about language-based learning. I enjoy working with students on reading fluency and comprehension, as well as helping them express themselves through writing. These subjects allow for creativity, connection, and the chance to develop strong foundational skills.

My tutoring style is patient, flexible, and engaging. I focus on building rapport, setting achievable goals, and adjusting instruction based on each student's learning style and pace. I value curiosity and always encourage questions, because learning should feel safe and empowering.

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy cooking, traveling with my children, and staying active through outdoor adventures. I also have a military background, which taught me discipline, resilience, and a deep respect for serviceall qualities I bring into my work with students.
