I have over a decade of teaching experience as a dedicated, passionate, and innovative history and political science professor and tutor, having taught and designed a combined 12 introductory and upper level history and political science courses, which encompass American History surveys, Western Civilization surveys, Global History, African American History, American Studies, the History of Modern Philadelphia, and American Government and Politics courses, with the goal of making history and civics understandable, useful and relevant to the students I have taught and tutored.
I have also taught and designed numerous online courses on Canvas, including American and Global History, in which I crafted assignments, such as historical podcast assignments and historical documentary presentations, designed to enhance and apply students research capabilities, organizational, critical thinking and writing skills across a wide and diverse spectrum of learning modalities and learning platforms. I have also taught Fundamentals of Composition, with an emphasis on writing effective research papers and essays.
My dedication to creating and fostering a dynamic instructional environment has resulted in two teaching awards, one for Best Teacher of the Year at Manor College, where I taught for over a decade as a full-time professor of history, during the 2016-2017 academic year, and another for Excellence in Academic Innovation and Student Engagement at Manor College during the 2017-2018 academic year. I have also served as a Department Chair, an Assessment Director, and Accreditation Officer, in addition to my vast teaching experience.
I earned my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in History from La Salle University, earning the department's best undergraduate and graduate history student awards. I earned my Ph.D. in American History, with specializations in Urban and African American History, from the University of Rochester in 2016.

Some of my hobbies include listening to and playing a wide range of music genres (My favorite instrument to play is the bass guitar), and watching and playing sports, especially baseball (I've actually designed and taught a college course on the history of Baseball in the United States and Latin America), Premier League soccer (I'm a long-time Chelsea FC fan), college basketball, football, and tennis. I also enjoy undertaking archival research projects (I've published one book in addition to over twenty scholarly publications), and watching history and foreign affairs' documentaries.
