My name is Abigail Schmitz, and I earned my degree from the University of Oklahoma. For the past three years, I've taught high school English and Drama and in my third year, I was honored to be named Teacher of the Year.

I tutor all English courses supported through Varsity Tutors and have a strong background in writing instruction and text analysis. I specialize in teaching students how to develop their own writing structure and revision skills, so they can write with confidence and independence, without relying on apps or external tools to do the work for them. I also bring expert knowledge of classical texts and the drama genre, with a particular emphasis on Shakespeare, supported by both formal training and classroom experience.
