I am graduate at the University of Maryland. I earned a bachelor's degree in English and Literature focused on language, writing, and rhetoric, and a minor in linguistics. I have also earned a TESOL certification from Montgomery College and I am currently enrolled in a graduate program in Curriculum and Instruction for TESOL.

I have extensive experience teaching English as a foreign in Brazil, and I have also tutored writing at the Washington English Center.

My approach to second language teaching and writing is that students should always feel comfortable with making mistakes and that learning does not have to be painfully dullif you learn by making connections with things you are passionate about, you can do anything! I am a firm believer that contemporary media and personal interests can open doors to a new world of learning.
