I graduated from UT Austin with a BA in Plan II Honors (Interdisciplinary Liberal Arts), a BA in Psychology with special honors, and a minor in Spanish. I have 2 years combined experience tutoring Reading, ELA, and Writing (K-12), as well as Math (K-8) at C2 Education and HISD'S Apollo Program. At C2 Education, I helped students with preparations for the SAT (Verbal) and ISEE (all sections). I also have over a year experience as a homeschool educator teaching Math, Reading, ELA, Science, and US History to Pre-K/K, 2nd and 4th grade students.
I enjoy teaching Reading and Writing the most. I believe that a great student in Reading and Writing will also be a great student in other subjects, such as History, Science, etc. There is power in words. How we understand and use words impact how we understand and navigate the world.
