I am a loving mother of three adult children and dotting grandmother of the world's greatest toddler. I am from the beautiful and exotic Caribbean Island of Dominica (not to be confused with Dominican Republic), where we speak fluent English and French Creole. Presently, I reside in Texas as a Bonafide American.
I have been a teacher/educator all my life and my passion for the profession has seen me engaged in most levels of education to include elementary, high school, online and Adult Education for which I hold a Masters degree from the prestigious University of The West Indies. I am also a qualified online facilitator.
I am a fully certified teacher in the state of Texas and work within the Houston Independent School District as a Maths and Science Elementary teacher.
My teaching style encourages students to be creative, engaging, inclusive and always inquiring. When students explore and find answers on their own, this makes learning receptive, fun and gratifying.
I utilize a variety of strategies and methods in my teaching style to ensure maximum success.
