I discovered my love for teaching in California, where I attended West Coast Baptist College. There, I received my Bachelor's Degree in Education with concentrations in English and Speech. Throughout college, I was heavily involved in community outreaches and volunteered in after-school programs at local public schools. Since then, I have never stopped being involved and serving my community in some shape or form. Tutoring has been a great opportunity for me to focus my energy and invest in the individual student. I found English and Speech to be my passions because these subjects involve so many communication skills! From critical thinking to class presentations and expressing ideas through composition or debate, these are my favorite areas of study. It is exciting to hear input from the students and gain understanding of their opinions and thoughts on any issue. My goal as a teacher/tutor is to challenge my students by always learning and improving personally. It is my hope to encourage and remind them that learning is not exclusive to just them, but it really is for every single individual still willing to grow.
