I'm a scientific researcher with a wide range of experience in chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, bioinformatics, and computer science. I earned my undergraduate degree at Brown University, and my Ph.D. at MIT, both in Chemistry/Biochemistry. My favorite subject to tutor is Organic Chemistry. When I was in college, the subject really spoke to me, and I love it still - something about the myriad ways molecules can change, and how we can control and harness those changes is very satisfying. I like tutoring Chemistry because, unlike biology, physics or math courses, there's less requirement for rote memorization, and more value in understanding concepts and visualizing them. I spent a year off from research to teach Biology and Math at the High School level, and interacting with the students one-on-one was by far the most valuable part of that experience.
