I am a veteran educator with over 25 years of experience in education. I graduated from the University of NC at Chapel Hill with a BA in Psychology, and later returned to school to obtain my teaching certification in Elementary Education. I am a former classroom teacher that has taught preschool through elementary school, with some experience working with middle schoolers. Currently, I am a homeschooling parent with several years of experience teaching/tutoring online, including 4 years of teaching English to students in China. My most recent experience was working as a Tutor Educator for Ignite Reading during the 2024-2025 school year, in which I also earned my Science of Reading Instruction Certification. I love teaching/tutoring because I love to learn also, and as an educator, I cannot teach students without learning something new myself!
