I am a scientist. I can remember wanting to investigate nature's machinations from a young age, whether it was staring at leaves or making homemade rockets. I've had the wonderful opportunity to gain perspective on my interests through classes at the University of Georgia, and, more interestingly to me, research at UGA. Through pursuing a major in Applied Biotechnology, I enjoy exposure to the hard sciences (and I don't mean necessarily difficult) and the pragmatic thinking that underlies performing science. Despite my seemingly rigid influences, I'd like to think I'm an easy going person riddled with faith -- I believe anyone can achieve anything just with determination and diligence.

In my spare time, I like to hike, and play video games. I value, and attempt to encourage through tutoring, critical thinking. A conscious voice thinking through ANY problem, critical thought, is a powerfully ally. It allows students to divine answers from questions, and it allows people to see solutions from circumstance. I'd love to share my perspective on learning with you: hopefully we can both learn and teach lessons.
