Certified Tutor

I graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. I currently work as a medical assistant with the goal of becoming a Physicians Assistant.
My past experience includes tutoring neighbors, classmates, and coworkers in math (pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, etc) and biology (anatomy and physiology, general biology, etc). My method involves drawing, using animations, and talking. Furthermore, we use the Socratic method, meaning I do not give a direct answer, using questions to lead the student to the answer on their own. This enforces critical thinking.
During my free time, I like to read books, drawing/doodling, and even exploring artwork. I also volunteer in ESL (English as a Second Language) program, where I build new friendships and discuss the English culture, including jokes, sarcasm, idioms, current events, and more.
