I believe Statement
By Javier Suarez
I believe children are the seeds of humanity...
I believe that each child is born with a special gift and that it is the responsibility of all persons that are involved in the childs life to nourish these seeds to germinate, grow and give fruits in the form of gifts to society. My role as a teacher will be to help children at school become independent learners, critical thinkers, productive members of society, hardworking individuals with good character so that they may one day unwrap the gifts they possess to make this world a better place.
I believe establishing a good relationship with your students is of the utmost importance in teaching...
I believe teachers must begin creating a classroom environment that promotes respect, participation, dignity, and trust as soon as the school year starts. However, a classroom where students feel comfortable exchanging ideas and becoming involved in the learning process takes time because it involves trust. To accomplish this, the teacher must value the students ideas and encourage students to respect other classmates opinions. A classroom where the teacher and students respect and trust each other will undoubtedly turn into a classroom with more student participation.
I believe students learn in different ways...
I believe the students desire to learn is driven by what is relevant or motivating to them. Therefore, as people have different background experiences, motivations, values, attitudes and cultures, their learning is motivated by different factors. It is my responsibility as a teacher to find and use teaching strategies that reach as many students as possible in my classroom. Employing different teaching techniques will provide my students with multiple ways of learning.
I believe student learning gets staggered without effective classroom management.
I believe that classroom management allows the teacher to have an organized environment that promotes learning as well as discipline. This reduces misbehavior in the classroom and creates more effective use of the students time. It also establishes consistency with classroom rules and daily routines to prevent confusion and anxiety among the students which causes them to have better performance on a daily basis. A teacher that ignores all these benefits will not reach his nor the students full potential.
