Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We worked on Quiz 13. The student read the "lectura" in Spanish and answered the questions. Then she read ch.5 of "Piratas." We worked on the first part of the worksheet. She has good pronunciation and comprehension."
"The session was filled with grammar. Starting out with a review of the most common pronouns used in Spanish. Following a delicate study of three different units of direct pronouns. The student showed understanding and moments of clarification. The next three units covered introduced indirect pronouns in which we saw the difference between direct and indirect pronouns and clear out the differences. Quizzes were done after each unit to check for understanding using online materials. The student was responsive and showed signs of progress. A lot of extra practice was left in order to establish and assess the next session. Good session."
"We covered Spanish present tense conjugation of regular verbs, conversation skills and vocabulary. The student is preparing for a test on weather vocabulary on Wednesday. We used visual (drawing pictures to represent each vocab word) and auditory (repeating back each vocab word) to solidify learning. He is doing well with these words. I gave him some online resources to continue practicing before our next session, which will be on Tuesday. His pronunciation, sentence formation, and spelling notably improved in the session."
