Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I went through a homework assignment relating to rates of change. Specifically, we did problems on how to calculate average rate of change and instantaneous rate of change based off of the data and functions given to us. He was able to understand the concepts just fine and he thought that doing the homework under my supervision went well. I think that the student and I are off to a good start!"
"We spent the session discussing Chapter 3, which involved finding derivatives of functions. It went well, and we will meet again tomorrow morning."
"We continued our session on trigonometry evaluations and identities. We also covered how to group sine and cosine functions, and the student did pretty well with this part."
"In this session I taught the student the addition and multiplication properties in algebra. I gave him homework after the session."
"The student and I reviewed basic exponent concepts, and I introduced advanced exponents rules. Multiplication fact recall is an area for growth. The student had a great attitude; he was very responsive and cooperative. We discussed strategies to successfully solve math problems with exponents. We graded the in-session work he completed, and he did very well. I also introduced new material that hasn't been covered in school yet."
"Student B and I worked on an algebra problem set. He is good at these problems, and only needed guidance twice. Student T and I worked on a constant velocity physics problem set. He has a good understanding of velocity, but should work on interpreting graphs."
