"Went over simple harmonic motion and conservation of energy involving springs and pendulums. The work is starting to get into the realm of calculus, which the student has not had. Luckily her teacher doesn't require that knowledge for quizzes and tests, so we just focused on the rest. We went over the calculus a little bit anyway so she will be familiarized with it; and to help her understand the concepts as well."
"The student continues to retake tests and quizzes for math and science at school this week. Today, he completed a math homework assignment with me focusing on functional notation. Then, we corrected mistakes on a math quiz that dealt with solving and plotting points for discrete and continuous graphs. Lastly, he and I corrected several science quizzes dating back to October ranging from states of matter to the solubility curve."
"The student and I worked through several problems in rotational motion from her practice problem sets. She generally understands this material, as long as she thinks through the relationships between period, frequency, and number of rotations. Similarly, rotational speed and revolutions per minute can be confusing."
