Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Reviewed full quant section from practice test, focused on geometric concepts, high level questions, pacing issues."
"My fourth GMAT tutoring session with the student went well. He expressed that the assigned questions in the Problem Solving and Data Sufficiency sections of the GMAT guide were more difficult than the questions he had worked on previously. We started by reviewing the assigned questions that he had trouble with in the Data Sufficiency section of the GMAT guide, including those involving overlapping sets, averages, geometry, and number properties. We then moved to the Problem Solving section and reviewed questions involving exponents, decimals, long division, standard deviation, and ratios. He feels most comfortable with questions involving proportions or algebraic equations. I suggested that when he encounters a geometry or number property question, he should work through it thoroughly, determine how to find the correct answer, and then teach the problem-solving method to a friend. For our next tutoring session, he will complete practice questions in the Problem Solving and Data Sufficiency sections of the GMAT guide."
"We reviewed the results of her most recent CAT exam and focused in on rate/work problems and probability."
