Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"This session the student and I really focused on her speed and accuracy in logical reasoning under time constraints. We started by going over a couple logic games that she had worked through on her own. We then continued on with a logical reasoning section we've been working on, but instead of talking through the problems together, I gave her one minute and thirty seconds to work through the problem, and then we would talk about whether she got the answer right and how she got to each answer. This way our practice mirrors the time constraint and pressure that she will feel in the real test. She did very well with these, and said that she thought this was a good way to practice. We will continue in this way going forward, and will apply this method to the games as well."
"Did Analytical Reasoning (Logic Games) from review book. Formal Logic games. Lent book to the student to practice with for test. Will meet again tonight (12/5); will focus on other aspects of the test."
"Today was our final session. We generally discussed practices for test day, and then covered logic games and a few logical reasoning problems she previously answered incorrectly. Overall, she has shown significant progress!"
"The student and I worked on Logic Games. She is improving, but slowly. We will continue to work on getting back into the swing of things."
"Today was our last session!! The student is ready for the LSAT. We discussed final test-taking strategies and reviewed the most common questions. It was bittersweet to say goodbye-but I know she is going to ace the test!"
"We spent an hour on logical reasoning/games and then an hour on reading comprehension. I think the student's going to do great on the LSAT tomorrow! He should make sure to be specific with logical reasoning, think about the structure of the argument for reading comprehension, and make sure to check all of his inferences for logic games. Good luck!"
