Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"This session the student and I went over some problems on a logical reasoning section she did on her own to start. She practiced going very slowly through the questions to give herself time to reevaluate her answers, and basically only missed three of the problems that she answered. This puts her on a great track for the test, and gives her a concrete strategy. I am very confident that she will be able to reach her goals on that section as long as she keeps up the work in this fashion. We then worked on some specific logical reasoning questions together and a logic game just to keep up those skills as well. We will start to focus on time a little more as we go on with lessons."
"We went over logical reasoning questions, including the following types: resolve the paradox, method of reasoning, flawed reasoning, and parallel reasoning. We also went over formal logic and numbers/percentages issues. We also did a logic game."
"We worked through several strengthen/weaken questions and then two logic games. The student felt really good about refreshing the sequencing games and also did well on the linear game we did. We will meet again Thursday. I think we're in good shape."
"The student and I continued our work on Logical Reasoning problems, focusing on Weaken and Strengthen questions. She is already improving significantly on attacking the problem well and narrowing down toward the correct answer, and we'll be continuing this process for the different type of questions in the LR section. We also worked on two Logic Games near the end of the session."
"We're working through a book that's compiled the hardest LSAT questions and strategies to combat it. We also worked through sections of her last full-length LSAT and brushed up on parallel reasoning and strengthen/weaken questions."
"We discussed the different question types in the Logical Reasoning section, and then worked our way through (almost all of) a practice section. Next time we'll discuss logic, and maybe get into Selection Games."
