Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Since the previous session, the student had worked on a couple of the problems I had given for extra practice. The student showed me a chemistry team quiz. Together we worked on a very complicated and hard question that in the end helped improve his comprehension. Compared to that one difficult problem, the rest of the homework and study guide problems were easy and he did a great job. In addition, the student and I covered a little bit about sine and cosine waves for pre-calculus with regards to the periods, amplitudes, and shifting of the graph. At the end of the session, I left the student with a few more practice problems. I have no doubt that he will be able to do them."
"Today we covered topics of motion, specifically motion in a plane and motion along a straight line. The student was very receptive once again. We reviewed trigonometric identities and why certain equations were used. We then went over a few exam questions that she had, in which we were able to identify the relationship between a graph showing distance, velocity and acceleration versus time. We focused primarily on homework problems regarding kinematics."
"I talked with the student in order to establish a continuous study format to prepare for the AP Chem test. He specifically requested more problems in acid/base chemistry and electrochemistry. We went over a couple of problems from a previous AP test to start studying and review some topics that might have been forgotten so far into the year. We solved out one problem and I left him with two others to finish for next week. In addition, he requested some help with wedges and areas between two functions in AP Calculus for next week."
