Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I covered five "comprehensive" problems from her test books; which entailed, surface areas, and solving quadratic equations. She's feeling much better and so our session was very productive. She's also continuing to make good progress on covering her other test books and writing her flash cards."
"Student was punctual to session. We began with a discussion on what he is currently working on in class and he said multi-step algebraic equations. I used to I do, we do, you do method with several equations. His biggest obstacle is remembering the rules for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of positive and negative numbers. We ended the session with 2 multi-step word problems. I asked him to review the rules for positive and negative integers and to check his math project grade. I gave him 3 algebraic equations for homework. We made plans for a session on Sunday."
"We finished chapter 3 sections and she had already taken the quizzes for homework. We started on chapter 4 transformations with linear and non linear objects. We were able to complete through 3 of the sections in that chapter and she completed a quiz for one of the sections in which she scored a 5/5 on. She seems to be grasping the concepts and should continue to score well on the quizzes and tests. Overall it was a good session."
"We went over the student's algebra topics (surface areas of right cylinders), her English homework (compound complex sentences), and reviewed dimensional analysis."
"We finished topics in lesson six, including factoring trinomials, perfect squares, and difference of squares."
"The student practiced problems from 12.1, 12.2, and 12.4 for his test on Tuesday. I gave him some extra practice problems involving simplifying complex and simple radicals as well as completing the square."
