Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we studied for the student's upcoming test on vocabulario de viajes, affirmatives/negatives, and comparatives/superlatives. I gave her several fill-in-the-blank sentence examples, drilled her on her vocabulary, and had her translate sentences using superlatives/comparatives. After we studied for her test, we also completed this week's journal entry on a person she would like to be for a week and why. We exceeded the 150 word limit and included 5 words from her vocabulary list for extra points."
"The student has a big test tomorrow covering 5 different verb tenses. We reviewed these tenses intensely today, especially the irregular forms of the present perfect and the subjunctive."
"Student 1 and I reviewed everything from the previous session, including writing of dates and names. He didn't do the homework assignment from the last time so we did that in class. Today's topic and learning is: how to say time. So he learned how to use two different ways to say time. Also "half" and "quarter." He also learned how to say: be quiet and sit down. Homework is to finish the worksheet. Student 2 and I also reviewed body parts and animals. She didn't do her homework either, so we finished that in class. Then we drew animals on white board to review some of the names. Today's new vocab for her was: cute, and today's new characters to write were: water and elephant. The homework is to finish the worksheet."
