Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today was my second session with the student. He is doing a Capsim/Capstone simulation game in class, and we briefly looked at the website's simulation exercises for an ideal spot for a set of data. We did some calculations for performance and size, and the numbers should have automatically populated after inputting the correct data points for Rounds 0 and 1. We also worked on exchange rates calculations for Mexican Peso/Brazilian Real/US Dollar/AUS dollar/Euro/Japanese Yen for cross-rates, which are essentially the inverse ratio of each currency pair. We ended with discussing direct vs. indirect currency quotes. For a direct currency quote, the base current (on the left) is the domestic currency, whereas the quote currency (on the right) is the foreign currency."
"During the session, we went through new chapter material - Income statement. He finished the homework questions in the topic."
"We discussed the topic of cost estimation. We worked through 2 problems on the high-low method from the student's homework and class assignment. Overall, he understood the concepts of the different types of cost: fixed, variable, semi-variable, and step fixed."
