"We went over the student's last lesson on the verb 'gustar,' and then I helped her prepare for her upcoming class presentation. She had a great understanding of 'gustar' and other verbs like it, so we gave her presentation a little more attention. She was worried about the public speaking aspect of it, so I gave her some writing tips that should help make the project as good as it can be before she presents. I think the project looks good so far, and I look forward to seeing how it works out."
"I worked on preparing for an exam with the student. She was particularly worried about the listening and speaking section. We worked on those details and also on preparing for the grammar section. We worked on the usage of the subjunctive in different forms. She is still doing well, her biggest challenge is and has always been her vocabulary and the listening and speaking sections. We worked on those issues, and we hope that they are lessons that stick."
"The student worked on prepping for his Spanish test on Tuesday. He was struggling with remembering vocabulary previous learned. He also needed more review on verb endings for the preterit and imperfect tenses. There is a great deal of information to recall for this test since it is cumulative. We will meet again to make sure we have covered it all."
"The student and I worked on a project that she has to present this week. I asked her for next week to fill in all the necessary info for her chemistry study guide and work on her Spanish study guide so when I see her next we can review both of them, as they are her hardest tests."
"We reviewed last lesson's assignment, practiced conversation for about 45 minutes, rehearsed tomorrow's presentation on Cuba, and did a cultural/listening exercise involving the Latin American legend La Llorona."
"The student and I went over his vocabulary for this new section. He is continuing to seem more confident throughout the sessions, and I can tell his pronunciation has improved as well as his speaking abilities in general. He seems to be really confident that his grades will continue rising, and he plans to get an A on his next test. We went over some of his homework, and next week we will have new grammar topics to go over."
