How can a Physical Chemistry tutor help you?

Physical chemistry is a main stepping stone leading to other scientific fields. Therefore, if you find yourself struggling through your physical chemistry course, you may want to seek studying help so that you can have a solid base for future science courses. Varsity Tutors can help you locate a professional physical chemistry tutor in Boston, Massachusetts, who can provide this help. Your tutor understands that physical chemistry is not the only class you have to worry about. Therefore, they can be flexible to your schedule and meet you at a time and place that fits your schedule. You can even work with them online or in person.

Is Amagat's law causing you confusion? Perhaps atomic orbitals are the problem. Whatever the case may be, your private Boston, Massachusetts, physical chemistry tutor can work with you on confusing concepts. Because you are the only pupil during the tutoring session, your tutor can really hone in on the areas that you personally find troublesome (like complex reactions). Even if your class has since moved onto other topics, you and your tutor can spend your time working slowly through your trouble spots in the subject. You can pepper your tutor with as many questions as you need to understand something as well. You also have the freedom to stop them mid-lesson when you become confused and ask for clarification on specific concepts you don't understand. These are all benefits of a private tutor that would not be afforded you in a large classroom setting.

Session Summaries by Physical Chemistry Tutors

Boston, MA Physical Chemistry tutoring
During this session, the student and I worked mostly on some chemistry homework.  This was homework based on limiting reagents, the material that I went over with him before his class; therefore, he did not struggle too much with this homework.  I think my goal with the student will to be to always try to introduce new topics to him in the session prior to the class where he will be taught it by his teacher.  This seems to result in better results as far as how the student absorbs the material and his comfort level, as well.  We also worked on the last few geometry problems that he was struggling with on his homework.

For the most part, the student and I worked on related rate problems.  In addition to this, we did a couple of optimization problems.  After going over a bunch of related rate problems, I believe that the student has a much better understanding of the material, although she still needs some practice.  Since we only did two optimization problems, I'm not sure how well she understands this concept (although it appears she understood the general idea).  As long as she practices optimization problems, she should be fine.

The student had her full scores printed out so we reviewed them together. We started with the math section and went through the various types of problems she would need to do to progress. She took little progress quizzes so we could see what still needed to be covered. She will do a full practice math section (timed) on her own before we meet again. Our plan is to focus on one section per tutoring session and make sure she gets a lot of practice with each. I think we will pinpoint specific areas where she can really improve to bring up her score rather than trying to have her learn every little thing necessary as that might overload her.
