"The student had a quiz yesterday so didn't have any homework last night. I taught him the verb 'doler' and its use with indirect object pronouns. This led us to learn some vocab for parts of the body, too."
"We did more review on reflexive verbs and pronouns and went over his homework discussing the parts he didn't understand. I explained the different ways to structure sentences using reflexive pronouns and he practiced using the examples in his homework. I continued to have him make flashcards for words or verb conjugations that he did not yet know. We discussed a plan for reviewing for his upcoming test in the next couple sessions."
"We worked with possessive adjectives in Spanish. We also covered some strategies for completing online homework assignments."
"We practiced new everyday words in Spanish, they began to speak with this practice and with the words they learned last week. We studied the days of the week and the articles used to name them. It was a very dynamic class for the reason that I am teaching every new grammar rule with examples. I left some extra work and as always they have to study the concepts they learned in the class to begin with a review in the next one."
"We practiced Spanish for one hour and English for 30 minutes. In Spanish, we went over ser, estar, and the present progressive, as well as regular present tense -ar, -er, and -ir verbs. We also talked about the difference between using the present progressive to say what you are doing right now versus the present tense to talk about what you do. In English, we did homework for vocabulary words using the definitions and synonyms to complete the sentences in context."
"We practiced verb conjugations in preterite and imperfect, focusing on irregular verbs. The student struggles with the irregular preterite tense the most. She is always focused, and ready to learn and improve. I gave her some tips on remembering how to conjugate in the two forms. Her grade is a little bit higher than it was the other day."
