Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"From last session we covered photosynthesis and the Calvin cycle. I shared some online diagrams with the student. We covered new topics of genetics; laws of segregation and independent assortment, genetic recombination, sex linked chromosomes, sex linked diseases, Punnett squares, and more. Her understanding is growing via her oral explanations. The next session will be on Monday at 8pm."
"Today, the student and I covered more torque problems from his textbook. Much of this type of work deals with "picturing" the problem and thinking about it in a practical sense, which he seems to be doing well at. His midterm is coming up so we are planning on meeting to review."
"We continued working on implicit differentiation, covering twelve problems. We tried different kinds of differentiation, and subbed in the first derivative and original equation for y. We also explored second derivatives. Lastly, we emphasized the difference between variables and numbers, and proper simplification of equations."
