Biology Tutoring review by Erin in Framingham, MA
Today the student and I went through the basics of solutions and solubility. I gave her some notes, and I will be typing up a set of notes to email her. Her teacher had not given her any problem sets or work sheets, so we covered questions from her review book. We also went over the types of math questions found in this chapter including molarity and parts per million. I was happy to hear that she scored a 96 on her last chemistry test which covered math in chemistry.

She had a list of questions from her class so we just reviewed those that she had trouble understanding. She had a good understanding and just needed some clarification on certain topics but overall she did well.

The student and I spent our first session going over his first week of classes . He just started high school and is taking a biology and algebra course. In biology we reviewed the scientific method and what type of hypotheses are testable. We then spent most of our time in algebra reviewing functions and graphing algebraic expressions. We are meeting up next Friday to discuss all the new topics he learns over the next week.
